Chillie Nelson -- Chilly
Chilly's name at the vet is Chillie Nelson. Chilly came to us first. He came in the winter time during a very cold winter. We felt so sorry for him that we decided to feed him. There was an 11 degree overnight coming so we fixed a small tote shelter and put out some food. We gave him the name Chilly because of the cold way he came to us. We call him Chilly Bear for obvious reasons, but Greg calls him Chilly Dog. Chilly has been a tough one to domesticate. He is coming around but really likes to be by himself a lot. He has come to know the joy of combing and letting us help keep his fur in top shape. He does not understand play though, he plays too rough and he will draw blood with his claws or even an attention-getting bite. He is getting better and understands "ouch" finally. He is one that will rub against you as he passes by and he purrs like a madman. He also snores. He snores a sleepy purring snore too. He sits in my office by the window and snores away. He is a funny man. When I was taking the pictures of the flowers below, he walked over and plopped down right next to the statue as you see him. No cat treats needed to get that pose. Nice to see him come around to humans. We have a LOT of names for him. Like a lot. Chillie Nelson, Chilly, Chilly Bear, Sleepy Bear, Chilly Dog, Chilly Cheese Dog, Chilly Cheese Burger, Big Dog, Big Bear, Big Man, Chilly Mac, Chilly Mac and Cheese, Chilly Man, Chilly Fresh, Chilly Butt, Chilly Boo, Boo, Boo Man, Boo Manchu, Chilly D. Williams, Chill-I-AM, Chilly Davis, Chilly Relleno, Fat Man (singing the Batman theme), Mr. Farty McFarthead and Buddy. Amazingly, he pretty much responds to any of those when we call him. He answers to "Hey You Stupid Cat" too. |
We will build out more information soon. Thanks for visiting.
